LASU Life was founded in 2021 by Olusanya Olabode Abdulwariz with a single conviction — that the students of Lagos State University deserve a platform to document their accomplishments. At a time when no student association existed specifically to document and celebrate the LASU community, LASU Life was born.
Since then, LASU Life has grown into the most recognised student-led media brand in Lagos State University. With over 30,000 followers on Instagram and X, and a vibrant WhatsApp community, we have spent over four years documenting the lives, achievements, and stories of LASUites across all three campuses — Ojo, Epe, and Ikeja.
Our work goes beyond social media. Through our newsletter, we provide guides, opportunities, and information that help students make the most of their time in LASU. We hold the Students' Union accountable, amplify student concerns, and work to ensure that the voices of LASUites are heard — both within the university and beyond it.
Over the years, LASU Life has partnered with organisations including the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, Black Women Photographers, and the Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU) to expand our reach and deepen our impact on the student community.
The LASU Life Website is the latest expression of that mission — a permanent archive dedicated to preserving the legacy of every graduating class that has passed through the gates of LASU. Because we believe that every LASUite's story deserves to be told, and preserved.
