I am Suluka Kabir, a First Class graduate of Transport Technology and Infrastructure from the School of Transport and Logistics at Lagos State University. I emerged as the best graduating student in my school with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.60 out of 5.0, and I still remember convocation day as one of the most remarkable of my life, filled with joy and gratitude for a journey that was anything but easy.
Getting here demanded a genuine hunger for knowledge, one I had to consciously build and protect. There was no shortcut around the discipline it took to keep pushing when the academic voyage got difficult, and I leaned often on the idea that taking full responsibility for yourself is what develops the hunger needed to chase your dreams. That mindset carried me through the toughest stretches of my degree.
My interests have never sat inside one box. Alongside my academic work, I built a career as an academic tutor and market research analyst, with a particular pull toward research, logistics, and project and supply chain management. I was also honoured as a LASU Scholar for the 2021/22 session, a recognition that affirmed the effort I was putting into both my studies and my growth outside the classroom.
Beyond transport and logistics, I have a deep intellectual fascination with numerology and astrology, the study of how numbers and celestial patterns can offer insight into who we are. I eventually founded the Libra Institute of Numerology and Astrology to explore and share that interest more formally, driven by the belief that there is a certain harmony and symmetry running through the universe, and that each of us is part of that larger whole.
Looking back at LASU, I carry forward the same conviction that shaped my time there: growth in one direction should never mean shutting the door on every other passion pulling at you.
