Kewulere, Adam Olasunkanmi is a notable graduate of Islamic Studies Education whose resilience and faith steadied him through his years in LASU. From being unanimously chosen as the Head of Class in his first year on campus to receiving an award from the Vice Chancellor herself, Adam maintained a balance between his academics and extracurricular activities.
Reflecting on how each of the semesters presented its hurdles, Adam noted three aspects responsible for his success: help from Allah, guidance from his mentors — including Mr. Yahyah I.O— and his unwavering consistency and determination.
These fuelled his achievements in student unionism where he served as an honorable in 100 level, and spiritual leadership as the two-time President of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria’s LASU branch (MSSN-LASU). Truly, Adam’s university experience was marked by the goal of upholding the highest standard of leadership and academic excellence through leaving a lasting legacy.
When asked about life after school he shared that the knowledge of what is to come lies with the Almighty Allah.
As a parting gift, he has written “A Reflective Sojourn Through My Academic Pursuit on Campus: Scholarship and Amirship”, a book where he discusses how he achieved more than expected.
