AKANBI ABDULMALIK BABATUNDE

I am Akanbi Abdulmalik Babatunde, a graduate of the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Science. Looking back, I'd describe my journey through LASU as one of growth, resilience, and self-discovery, filled with pressure, uncertainty, and countless deadlines that ultimately shaped me into a stronger, more determined person.

Successfully completing my degree despite every obstacle along the way is what I'm proudest of. Every assignment, exam, and setback tested my resilience, and beyond the certificate itself, I'm proud of the personal growth, discipline, and confidence I built throughout my time at LASU.

Balancing academics with personal responsibilities and other commitments was my biggest challenge, with deadlines and coursework often feeling overwhelming. I overcame it by improving my time management, staying organised, remaining consistent with my studies, and learning to seek help from lecturers and classmates whenever I needed it. LASU taught me that resilience and consistency matter just as much as talent.

I've been my own biggest source of inspiration throughout this journey, and something most people don't know about me is that I can speak multiple languages. My immediate plan is to build core skills and take on more responsibility, and in the next five years I see myself becoming a trusted subject matter expert or project leader.

My advice to current and incoming students is to focus on building a strong GPA early and avoid unnecessary campus distractions. As I remind myself often: everything good will come.
