AMEENAT OMOSHALEWA BOKINNI

I am Ameenat Opemipo Omoshalewa Bokinni, a graduate of the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Management Sciences. My journey through LASU was a rollercoaster of deadlines, stress, and laughter, but somehow I made it to the finish line, and I'm proud of how far I've come.

Graduating with my B.Sc. in Business Administration is my proudest achievement, representing years of hard work and overcoming challenges that made the milestone even more meaningful. I served as an Honourable Representative in my 100 Level, an experience that let me represent my classmates and develop my leadership and teamwork skills early on.

Balancing academic responsibilities with sports commitments was my biggest test, I was part of the school's athletics team, competing in shot put and discus. I got through it by staying disciplined, managing my time effectively, and staying focused on my goal of graduating successfully. Growth, I've learned, comes through challenges, every obstacle is a chance to adapt and become stronger.

My mother has been my biggest source of inspiration, her resilience, sacrifices, and constant encouragement kept me focused and unwilling to give up on my dreams. Something most people don't know about me: I'm really just a soft babe underneath it all.

I plan to build my career in business while growing my own entrepreneurial ventures, and in five years I see myself leading a successful business and creating opportunities for others. My advice to current and incoming students: LASU will test you, no doubt, just keep your head up, stay consistent, and don't compare your journey to anyone else's. As I like to say: I'm just getting started.
