I am Jefferson Davis, a graduate of the Faculty of Law. My journey through LASU was terrific, full of ups and downs, yet amazing overall.
I'm proud of everything I ever achieved and every task I ever accomplished, every responsibility given felt like a privilege. I served as Head of my class and as an Honourable at LASUSU during my time on campus.
I faced quite a number of challenges, but staying calm and defending my position helped me proceed toward workable solutions to the difficulties in front of me. Being prepared for whatever challenge comes your way, and adapting, is the lesson that will stay with me for life. I won the Head of Class Award, a Debate Award, and a Moot Award along the way.
There are quite a number of people who've inspired me, but my Dad stands out above the rest.
My advice to current and incoming students: be focused, stay informed, and give your best. As I remind myself often: it's more important to be kind than to be right.
