I am Nusaybah Mojisola AbdurRahman, a graduate of Aerospace Engineering, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.7. It has been a journey filled with uncertainty, especially resuming 100 Level with little knowledge of what lay ahead, but Alhamdulillah, everything went well with Allah's help. My goal from the start was simply to graduate with a First Class, and I'm grateful to Allah for making that possible.
Graduating as Best Graduating Student is my proudest achievement, and I'm grateful for how much the journey has shaped and grown me. I served as Assistant HOC for my set and held several leadership positions within MSSN LASU Epe, including Naibatul Ameerah and Sisters' Secretary before later becoming Ameerah, and I was also Pioneer Assistant General Secretary of APWEN LASU chapter.
LASU Epe came with a lot of challenges, which I navigated through the support of good friends, time management, and most importantly, Allah's help. Everyone has a different journey, and comparing mine to someone else's isn't always fair to myself, a lesson that has stayed with me since. I was a recipient of the Federal Government Scholarship Board Scholarship from 200L through 500L and was honoured with the 'Ameerah of the Year' award by COHI, MSSN Lagos.
My faith in Allah, and my parents, whose sacrifices I wanted to make worthwhile, have been my biggest sources of inspiration throughout this journey.
My advice to current and incoming students is that your 100L CGPA matters more than you think, it's the foundation for your final CGPA, so build on it consistently, and don't let other people's achievements make you feel small. As I remind myself, sometimes you hate a thing and it turns out to be good for you, and Allah knows what you do not.
