I am Ohiozebaru Boluwatife Osse, a graduate of Science and Technology Education in the Faculty of Education. My journey through LASU was overwhelming, eyeopening, and altogether a very great experience.
Graduating well even when things didn't go as planned is what I'm proudest of. I served as an Honourable Member of the 18th and 19th STESA LASU SLC, and as a committee member of the 37th LASUSU IEC.
Accommodation issues, financial issues, and dips in academic performance made up a lot of my challenges, but all glory to God for the strength to overcome them. Meeting good people who impact you positively, having fun no matter what life throws at you, and being good to others is the lesson that will stay with me for life, since one good turn deserves a thousand back. I won a digital marketing scholarship along the way, among others.
My parents, and the late Chief Olakunle Akinyele, have been my biggest sources of inspiration throughout this journey.
My advice to current and incoming students is to put your academics first before anything else, since it's being a LASUite that opens the door to everything else, and to be good and make friends along the way. As I remind myself often: believe in yourself, you can do this.
