TAIWO ADEBAYO SANJO

I am Taiwo Adebayo Sanjo, popularly known on campus as JERRYPEC, a graduate of the Department of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.9. Life at LASU was educative, entertaining, stressful, and expensive all at once, but what I'm proudest of is being able to live an impactful life worth emulating. Serving as a role model for many people on campus is the best thing I ever prayed for.

I served as Departmental Academic Committee Head, and I leaned on the library heavily whenever I was on campus, something that helped my academics tremendously. There were plenty of times I ran into monetary issues along the way, but God always came through for me. Through it all, I picked up several awards and scholarships, including the Treekle Tuition Fee Scholarship, the LASU Alumni Scholarship, the Department of Philosophy Laptop Award, the Department of Philosophy Award for Academic Excellence, and the Emerald Intra-Faculty Speech Writing Award, among others.

I basically lived a rectangular lifestyle during my time on campus, moving between house, campus, church, and the football house, and I designed a timetable for all of it so none of it clashed with the others. That structure is what let me stay consistent without burning out.

My lecturers, my sister Dr. Hunpegan, and my friend Mr. Habeeb Bolaji have been my biggest sources of inspiration throughout this journey. The most essential lesson I picked up on campus is to live a trustworthy lifestyle, a principle I've carried straight into my business, where it has helped me build authentic wealth and genuine popularity among my contemporaries.

My advice to current and incoming students is to study hard and smart, don't wait until exams arrive before you start, and engage in group discussions, they sharpen both your thinking and your communication skills. As I always say: beware of the sycophants, because your absence is exactly when they thrive. I love you all, and may God bless you.
